This is some of my older works that I just wanted to add to my blog. I fell in love with altered books about4 years ago, and have done many. This one is my latest, it was a labor of love and most of the artwork was painted by myself. For those who don't know what a altered book is, it is just a old book with a new life breathed into it. The subject/content can be whatever the artist chooses. In this particular book, I wanted to do a fantsay book, a story book with faires, mermaids, and the like. It is very textural and something my grandchildren will perhaps want to read someday.
